1st Candle

Well here's my tester candle, thanks to Pickle for the inscructions, :)

I used a candle that had been lit already so if it went wrong I wouldnt have used a full candle,

some snowflakes i tried out on it too, does anyone know if you can use this technique on coloured candles?

thanks for looking and for your comments

what I've been making without my card stash,

so here's what i was doing while i was stuck in Dublin, i made a scarf for myself and i continued working on a blanket im making (which i don't have photos yet)

so i basically used one 100g ball of wool which ive had for years so i don't know the colour or make, so its quite short but it's long enough to go into my coat,

it is crocheted and the pattern in 21 stiches across, 1 as a turning chain, two lines of double crochet, then two lines of treble crochet, for anyone who knows what im talking about, :) the stringy bits are just the end of the wool threaded through every second stitch.

Snow ho ho

Well no card tonight and prob wont be till at least Tuesday, i'm at my parents house two hours away from my house because of snow, more snow than i've ever seen in my life, my boyfriend works in Dublin, and it takes him an hour and a half to two hours to get into work from where we live, and on Mon mornings he opens which means hes needs to be in at 7am which means leaving the house about 5.30, however we made the descision on Sunday to head to Dublin because it had been snowing and had been very cold and i didnt really want him driving at 5.30 with snow, ice and black ice, so we said head to Dublin stay with parents, we're still here in Dublin, dont know when the snow is gonna let up, who knows when ill get home to my card stash??? i did bring wool with me so i could crochet, im currently making myself a scarf, also didnt bring any of my 50 cameras so i dont even have photos of the snow to show you :)

hope everyone is keeping warm

im off to snuggle under my covers,

my Scampy

my woggie Scamp passed away in April on the 27th, which is nearly 7 months ago, i miss him every day and i just wanted to put up some photos of him, he was my big, blue eyed, sheding cuddle monster,

i love this photo of him in the snow, with the snow on his snout, he was a cross between a norwegian elkhound and a collie, my boyfriends family got him when he was a pup, and when my boyfriend and I moved into our own house we adopted him :)

I'm being barked at in the above and below photos, cos he never liked me taking photos of him but i couldnt help it, i wanted to share him with everyone, :)

this is Darren and him on the couch I must have made a noise to make him look over at me like that, of course when he moved in with us I said he wasnt getting up on the couch however no sooner had he moved in he had me wrapped round his little paw and spent all of his time on the couch,

but how could i say no to that face and those eyes,

I miss you Scampy xoxoxoxoxox

really quick card

I needed to do a set of 5 cards for my aunt, and quickly so i decided to do a red and gold version of a card I already made (Blue and Silver), which I've just realised that i did upload to here yet, oops :(

so I've used red base card, gold peralesent paper, gems from stash and gold happy christmas peel-offs,

i used the papermania tree embossing folder that came free with the DOcrafts magazine last month or the month before, added gems to a few different places on the tree,

ok so here is the blue and silver one, done the same way,

Thanks for looking and for leaving any comments,

Simple christmas cards,

simple set of christmas cards, made with white card, baubles from a set i got in Pennys (Primark) last year,

i inked around the edge of the cards with Cat's eye chalk red ink, and then periced the top of the baubles with my pokey tool and tread some red spakley thread through them. i got the thread in a fabric shop, its for a sewing machine,

next i put faom squares on the back of the baubles and stuck them to the cards, the big one in the middle and the two smaller ones at different levels on the card, then i added the greeting at the bottom.

next I'd to stick down the thread, i used Anitia's tackey glue and put some on the underneath of the thread with a lollypop stick, and stuck it down, then i added silver snowflakes and red gem dots in the middle of them, i put three of these on each card.

in the set of 5 i made two tent fold and three normal fold. I'm not sure if i like them or if they are too simple, heres some photos of the thread, i love it, i'm not sure if you can see it but its hologramy, its fabby fab but a pain in the ass to stick down, :)

thanks for any comments and thoughts,
